Dr. Julia Cronin-Gilmore
Director, Doctorate of Business Administration degree program at Bellevue University where she has earned the rank of full Professor. In addition, Dr. Cronin-Gilmore earned the rank of Special Faculty, Affiliate Faculty at Creighton University where she teaches in the Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership program. Her professional experience and research publications and presentations span a wide variety of subjects, such as leadership, board of directors, business strategy, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and others. Dr. Cronin-Gilmore has earned numerous awards for her contributions to teaching and business, including an Excellence in Teaching Award from the United States Distance Learning Association, Marketer of the Year and Pinnacle Awards, both from the American Marketing Association, Omaha chapter, among others. She has earned several certifications including NAFCU Certified Volunteer Expert, Supervisory Committee Certification, Bank Secrecy Act Certification and Financial Literacy Certification. She earned Certificates from the Volunteer Leadership Institute and Board of Directors. Dr. Cronin-Gilmore serves on several boards and is a speaker at Credit Union Conferences and International and National Business Conferences. She published a marketing book in 2010. Education includes a Ph.D. in Business Administration; M.A. in Management, and a B.S. in Business, Marketing. She has been a Cobalt Credit Union volunteer since 2009. She served as Board Treasurer from 2012-2018, 2nd Vice Chairperson in 2018 and 1st Vice Chairperson in July, 2019. She currently serves on the Board & Volunteer Governance Committee, and as Chairperson of the CEO Succession Planning Committee. She was elected in November, 2016, for a three-year term on the Cobalt Credit Union Board of Directors.
Retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant with 26 years of service, the majority of which was spent in Comptroller related assignments. Awarded a Business Management degree from the University of Hawaii while on active duty. Employed by Mutual of Omaha from 1980 to 1997 with financial responsibilities that included development and management of a multimillion dollar IT Operation budget. While at Mutual spent six years, 1981 to 1987, as a volunteer on their Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. His volunteer service with the Cobalt Credit Union started in 2001 as a member of the Audit Committee and was Chairperson of the Audit Committee before being appointed to Cobalt Credit Union Board of Directors in 2010. He currently serves on the CEO Compensation Committee and Credit Committee. He has been recognized on numerous occasions by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) for completing over forty-two Volunteer Achievement Program courses to further his understanding of Credit Union operations. In addition, has viewed numerous pertinent webinars. He was re-elected in November, 2016, for a threeyear term on the Cobalt Credit Union Board of Directors.
President/COO of AmeriFirst Home Improvement Finance since May 2013. He has worked in the finance industry for over 30 years. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Midland University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a Master of Science in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning. He is an actively licensed CPA in the
Nebraska having served as a past Chair of The Foundation of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as a past chair of Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a past adjunct member of the business faculty at Creighton University, University of Nebraska Omaha, College of St. Mary, and Metropolitan Community College having taught courses in Money & Banking, Accounting, Tax, and other related business and entrepreneurship courses. He has been a Cobalt Credit Union volunteer since 2011 beginning as an Alternate Member on the Audit Committee and became a member of the Audit Committee in 2016, He was appointed to the Board of Directors in July, 2019 and serves as the Board Representative on the Audit Committee
